    Anyone know what size Allen wrench fits the differential filler plug on a 400i?

    Any recommendations on what lubricant to use in the differential?

    80W-90 weight gear oil for the differential, can't help on the differential drain plug. Any of the good brands should do fine.

    Be sure to use a gear oil suited for a LSD, not all are.

    Thanks for posting the size. Did you use an actual allen wrench or a socket with a 12mm allen bit?
