Hi All, Recently I´ve purchase a new front bumper for my car from Eurospares. It´s pretty and looks fantastic, but when I put it, I think is a bit longer (nose) than the other. I got somenthing to request: Is there differents sizes of 328 front bumpers? Anybody could put pics and explain the differences? Thanks a lot, Jesus
There are two types, the Euro bumpers are fibreglass, the US are steel. The difference in protrusion relates to the mounting, with the US cars having longer "shocks" making the bumper further out from the steel bonnet. HTH
I know that is true on a 308, but I have never seen one 328 front end that looked different than any other. No exposed bumpers, just body panels. I looked through some of my books, and they all look the same to the naked eye.
Oh, sorry, you are correct! Wonder what the deal is here, then.......must be a minor manufacturing variance...
Actually, I have seen a difference in the books I have..but it is subtle...perhaps only a centimeter or two, but the euro 328 bumpers do appear to be slightly shorter.
Actually Paul, there is a difference. Your front bumper is shorter/set farther into the body than a US car. Also, your rear bumper doesn't have the heat vent on the top of the bumper like mine does. It's shorter too. I never really noticed it until my car was parked next to yours at the track last FFQC. Like a 308, I much prefer the cleaner Euro bumper look. I'd LOVE to switch my bumpers to Euro's but tha PITA factor is too great. Dave <EDIT> WHOOOPS!!!! It's way too early! I just glanced at Mules avatar and thought is was Paul from down here in Nawlins who has a Nero Euro 328. So the point remains the same, the bumpers are different, just ignore everything else! LOL! I am now stepping away from the keyboard and getting my first cup o joe! Dave
