Digital Display - Dash Center

A segment or two has dropped off the multi-segment display for the gear indicator. Going back to my early days in electronics, I am thinking that this is probably a socketed display and the problem is not the digital driver. Two segments do not illuminate during the self-test at start up.

Any idea if the display is a field replaceable unit, or if the old one can be un-soldered and a new one inserted on the circuit board.
