    So I finally decided on one and went with the Olympus WS-100... It's really cool, slim, light and so easy to operate, even a Carbon McCoy could work it... :)

    There was a similar model online - it was the same price, but had similar-to-more capabilities - and it was black! - but Best Buy didn't have it and, I screwed up and didn't realize my interview was TOMORROW and not in two weeks...

    So anyway, I got the one I was leaning towards anyway and it works pretty well... I've tested it out a few times and it's really clear... I even turned the radio on, put the recorder down and started reading a magazine aloud... It picks up the background noise, but you can hear everything I'm saying...

    Since it's got the "pull-apart" feature, all I need do is shut it off, pull it apart and plug the open-ended USB part into the USB port on my computer and viola! It's pretty cool... The recorder takes one AAA battery and I've got plenty of those (courtesy WBC)... :) I'll let you all know how it works out after tomorrow... Thanks for all the help and suggestions; I appreciate it.

    Just looked it up and it looks like a real nice model. Besides, Olympus always seems to make a nice product. Although I own none of their stuff.

    It works great except for the fact olympus audio is not supported by MAC so I can't download it onto my computer it is greatness

    Thanks...! Interview went great, the recorder works flawlessly... I recorded an hour and a half presentation, an interview, the exhaust note from a Spice and a bunch of other stuff just goofing around... One AAA battery, and it still doesn't need to be replaced, I've played back the stuff I recorded a bunch of times - it's great...! I'm really happy with it and look forward to putting it to good use...

    Thank God, I've always heard those battery contraptions are hard to get ahold of, and extrememly expensive. You wouldn't know of any place that sells a quality battery at a reasonable price?
