I am the original owner of a 308 GTSI and the dash lights when new were not great. Now 22 years later, they are far worse. Can someone out there provide any answer for a fix so I can see these things. Of course, my eyes have gotten a bit dimmer over the years as well.
This has been widely discussed here and a search of the forum returns this solution: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143752&highlight=dash+lights http://www.nwrfca.org/faq/dashlights.html I did this on my car and it made a huge difference.
I Installed new lights with higher wattage and removed and cleaned the switch with electrical parts cleaner. Now the lights look great and the switch from dim to bright works perfect. Try that. Jeff
after you change the bulbs, just by-pass the dimmer switch entirely. Who uses that thing in a 308 anyway. It's presence just adds resistance and to skip around it only takes a a couple minutes.
This is what mine looked like AFTER changing bulbs, WITHOUT bypassing the dimmer. I didn't think it was necessary. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any chance you know how many volts your car has? I think I have a dying alternator in mine and plan to replace it next week. Hopefully that will bring on brighter lights. Aaron
