#0346M before restoration, when sitting in a Florida swamp:...
It was also part of the 50th anniversary display at the Peterson Museum in 1997. I managed to get an "insider's" tour and was given the impression that Betz & Peters liked it the way it was...esp. when sitting next to the over-restored examples that were so fashionable in the early to mid 90s. They were going to refurb the mechanicals (maybe they already had) and leave the cosmetics. In 1997 it did have a lot more paint on it than the 1999 pictures...it looked like a bunch of blue potato chips glued to the front fender.
Have seen a lot of damage during my years in Historic Ferrari racing. Not many pictures from that time, but here is one from an epic weekend a the ring. Image Unavailable, Please Login
He actually crashed it twice on the weekend at Goodwood described on that page. He banged the rear in practice, and then finished the job in the race
Bump - still have no classic F-car and still cannot contribute. Give me a few more years (if they haven't all been converted into wannabe-GTOs by then) and please show me more in the meantime!
I looked through my pictures and couldn't find a neglected Ferrari. I guess I spend too much time at car shows I do have this picture I took back in 2007 of a Porsche that has been kept in the same condition it was in just after it's last race. I believe it is part of the Collier Collection. After seeing so many perfectly restored cars that day it was actually refreshing to see something untouched. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Few dings, no dents. Well loved but used often, in all types of weather. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 166 Inter Vignale 0071S in the beginning of this thread, is that Dr Steven Dudleys car? If so, I've seen it at the Ferrari Challange at Road America years ago. It was great. I also saw this 250 GTE in Monterey in August. Beautiful patina'd car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Bump, please post more before you succumb to (understandable) bubble-driven temptation and have your lovely classic Ferrari - replete with wrinkles a la Sophia Loren - restored into a (yawn) Monterey showstopper a la Kim Kardashian.
