Hello everybody, I am new of this forum and I am obviously passionate in Ferrari. I had the chace to find an almost abandoned frame car that get my attention. The owner says that it's a Dino 206.... In the next days I will take a look at it. I was wondering to know if you have any pictures of this original frame and any suggestions abot what I should look at it. I really appreciate if you cuold give me some tips. best
Welcome on FerrariChat. A Dino 206 SP ? You have to ask the owner about the history of the frame. Which races, names of the pilots, previous owners... Was it crashed, burned, repaired ? Where are the missing parts, the engine, etc... Maybe you can find some stamped numbers on the frame or a chassis plate. You should also know that there are a large number of replicas of all car manufacturers. And please take photos of the frame AND of the numbers if you find some and post them here, so we can see what it is. Thank you and good luck.
This is a real Dino with chassis number 028. Brandoli built a new body and this car's restoration was finished mid-2018 and it was then shown at Pebble Beach August 2018. This car, owned by a Swiss collector, is now in Modena for the certification. Marcel Massini
Hi there, @GIOTTO ... I've met the owner. No History, No number on the frame, nothing. 99,9% it's a bad replica. @Marcel Massini I know the number 028. Brandoli has made a great job, they are very professional and I had the chace to speak with Mr Brandoli, a vert nice man.
