Hi I am restoring a 246 and am unable to locate or even get reconditioned the brake reduction valve to the rear wheels.I can get the unit sleaved but no replacement seals are available. Does anyone know of a replacement unit that will do the job?
A brake specialist said to just get rid of the unit but since it's job is to reduce the pressure to the back wheels under heavy braking I am reluctant to do this!!
    Anyone solved this one!

    Thanks

    Gary

These guys appear to be able to overhaul it.

Here is another option for re-build or replace: http://www.casafreno.it/index_en.php

They are the go to guys for this stuff.

I would suggest keeping the valve on the car and the 'brake expert' you spoke to should be ashamed for suggesting that the brake bias be altered by removing the valve. Ask him if he will put his name to that advice on paper so that he can be liable when you wreck your Dino on a rainy day.

Hi Yes I quite agree! Thanks for the info, really helpful, eveyone in the Uk simply says fit the old one as it is or get rid of it and maintains that it can not be repaired. Since the rest of the braking system will be all new/reconditioned this seems like madness!

    Regards
