    Hi all,
My 1972 Dino 246 has clapper wipers. I’m having trouble figuring out what length wiper blades are needed for the driver and passenger side arms. I’m sure someone has figured this out already. Right now the wiper blades interfere when they cross. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Early type US E Series. Should be 14". What size are the blades on the car?

@Ducati348 Looks like your driver's side wiper blade is longer than the passenger' side wiper blade?

Thanks for the response Miurasv . I measured the wiper blades on the car and they are both 14 inches long. I think the picture I uploaded might have been an old one when there were different length blades on the car which were also a problem. The 14-inch blades still interfere when they cross over though.

I see. May I ask if you've just bought the car or if you've had the car a while where the wipers were working fine previously but not now? Chassis number? The earlier US Dinos, which are E series cars, had the similar 14" clapping wiper blades of the previous series. Later US cars (also E series) had parallel wiper blades of 18" length.

It sounds like your wiper motors may be out of sync. Please see thread here and in particular post 4 here by @4CamGT which may be of help.

I’ve had the car for about 13 years. Chassis number is 03540. The wipers have always been problematic. I’ll review the thread and see if I can resynchronize them.

If it’s of any help, my wiper arms clash and are out of sync. I have my wiper system disconnected :)

Your solution posted here does not work then?

I’ve never gotten my wipers to really work. They would go out of synch and then start clashing. Seeing “It never rains in Southern California”…..
