Hi all - I found some photos that I had taken of #00476 on August 12, 2010 at the FCA Pacific Region event, "Ferrari Fra Vigne" at Chateau Julien, Carmel, California, that I thought you might find interesting. As per the Dino Register, the listed build date is September 1969, factory invoice dated September 30, 1969, sold new to Pisa, Italy. There is only one entry for this car in the Register. In particular, notice the Octagon knockoff nut, rather than a winged spinner knockoff, for the wheels. Also, notice the oil-return drip can (maybe?) or the Castrol GTX oil bottle used as a water expansion tank (again maybe?) in the trunk, along with the knockoff wrench and lead hammer in the trunk. Finally, note how huge the seatbelt buckles are!! Octagon spinners were required in the US from early 1967 (some states as early as 1965) and in Germany and Switzerland earlier than that. Eared knockoffs were a safety concern - regulators watching too many Bond films, no doubt.
That was an elegant Concours Very nice, I took a few photos too I see that both you and Harold Wong, ex-Regional Director Pacific Region FCA, like your fleece vests for concours fashion.
