    my '73 246gts needs a new battery. Does anyone have a photo of an original unit? maybe these are now unobtainable but it would be good to find one similar in style etc.

    Just get the largest Sears Die-Hard that will fit. A 5 year waranty will last 61 months. About as good as it gets. Let it go at that.

    The most important thing for battery life is to disconnect it and hook it up to a battery maintainer between drives, assuming you drive it less than every few days.

    I don't think there were any special batteries that came with these cars from the factory.

    There is that company in England that puts period covers on modern guts for batteries.

    I'll see if I can dig up the name.
