I know there are hundreds of posts about wheels but I cannot find the specific information I'm after.

I believe there were 3 or 4 factory wheel options offered over the 308 GT4's production run (see pictures below).
    1. Cromodora Dino style wheels with polished stainless centre hub cap 14x6.5
    2. Cromodora Dino style wheels without hub cap but with centre casting for badge 14x6.5
    3. Ferrari 5 spoke 14x7.5 (This was the optional upgrade to wide wheels which was a £280 upgrade in 1977)
    4. Ferrari 4 spoke 16x7/8 (There is factory documented wheel alignment specs from 1980 for the GT4 but I'm not sure if any cars came from the factory with these wheels or if the specifications where for Ferrari service centres fitting them later. I believe they where more likely to have been released as an service option when they came out with the injected 308's in 1980? GT4 owners would have wanted to move with the times as tire technology was advancing rapidly at that time.)

So my question is what are the change over dates for these wheels?
The 1976 parts doc it shows wheels types 1, 2 & 3 with the only useful information being that the switch from 1 to 2 was "when stocks ran out". Looking at press photos there are articles printed right through from 1974 to 1979 showing the wheels with centre hub caps but as Ferrari was notorious for not providing a press car you cannot assume the car driven in any article was that years model. Does anyone have any more information about when the change over happened? Did it happen at the same time between the Euro and the US/AUS spec cars?

With the 5 spoke wheels (type 3 and 4) I assume they are a spin off from the 308 GTB/S program (could be an incorrect assumption) so the 14 inch might have been available from 1976? It was definitely on the UK price list in 1976. Does anyone have a 1975 or 1974 price list showing the options which confirms if they were available in those earlier years?

On a side note I see Superperformance is doing a remake of the 14 inch Dino wheel with centre hub cap.

Thanks for advance for any more information on this.

(Thank you to the owners of these photos which I sourced via Google)

5 spoke was optional in 75. I believe the center cap style cromadora was a euro car wheel
