On a night trip, the dino at that time was still on standard dinoplex and points, I had a recurring problem. The engine would suddenly loose sparks. None at the plug and none at the points. Eventually it would restart and run for an hour or so and then stop. On the first restart, I walked back to close everything up, that's when I noticed a glowing from the engine compartment. The ignition wires were looking more like rope lights, the engine was idling and it seemed like I could see every pulse travelling trough the wires. Can anyone throw a light on this? Can you all go out a night and see if your Dinos do the same?

It was a while back 1980 something. The ignition problem went away when I installed a new condensor, a generic one from a local garage. On my return, I dumped the contacts and dinoplex and went all digital, changing the wires at the same time. Never ever had a start or running problem after that, hot or cold. In fact I believe that the the performance of the new setup, made it easier to synch the carbs. It really felt like adifferent car after that.
