My 246 gets air into the brake system slowly every couple of months. Every time I bleed it, a large amount of air come out of the left rear brake and virtually none from the other corners. Is it likely that there is leak isolated to the left rear circuit or is the air mostly coming from here because it is the furthest from the master cylinder?

I see this on other European cars. There must be something going on with the caliper seals, because if there was a leak in anything else between the master and the caliper you would notice a fluid leak. I suspect there to be some process that allows air to enter around the caliper seals when you relieve brake pressure, but does not allow fluid to leak when brake pressure is applied from the inside out.
    Cheers.
