Is it very difficult to disconnect the power supply to the clock? Mine runs very sporadically (useless in other words), and I would just as soon stop the drain on the battery. I thought about the fuse, but there are probably other things on the same circuit...

You could just pull the live feed and tape the terminal up. my clock ran sporadically too this being caused by worn hairspring, i tried to repair mine and wished i had'nt! so now it will be purely a cosmetic hole filler.

Very easy to do, just lay on your back under the dash and pull the connection off the rear of the clock.

If you don't like to lay on your back, then remove the dash cluster face plate by unscrewing each of the four retaining screws, tilt the whole assembly back and remove the power wire

Well, I just reached under there and yanked on a wire. It's red, and I think I got the right one because the clock stopped making noise. There's still a wire connected to the clock up at the top, though I'm thinking that might be for the light...
