What's that wire on the rear wing? Is the rear wing adjustable from the cockpit? btw who needs a house, I could live in that garage..
A good day for pictures in the shop; I get excited every time I see 002C's components. That car fascinates me, and I hope I get the opportunity to see it up close one day.
Great pictures! Its still amazing to see how compact the Dino is, must be very agile to drive and I would imagine the balance must be superb.
On tight courses like the Targa Florio the smaller 2 liter cars were often faster than the bigger 4 liter cars. Nice seeing Hans yesterday. Give him my best.
Will indeed send your reagrds to Stu....the 2 liter cars may have been faster but the heroes that drove the 4 liter cars could usually make up some of the deficit..from what I have seen of the Targa in pics the course looks like one where supreme skill and bravery is needed...
The spring of 2009 is looking like its set to be a memorable one, Jim. By the way, I was just wondering out loud. How did you manage to put the four green cases below the Dino like that?
You jack up the nose from the front chassis cross member with a very low profile jack and put a 10X12 inch timber under each tire. Jack up the rear from the engine/gearbox and put rear tires on timbers. Repeat and put tires under green wooden boxes boxes.

Actually Julian Thompson and Russel Carr, the two designers at Lotus, used the Dino Competizione as reference for their shape.....and you can tell by many design details and the final proportions of the car...and the dimension are pretty close to the Competizione. I would love to see a modern Dino Competizione Concept with the dimensions of an Elise, small and nimble with enough power to drive fast on twisty corners at the 2010 Targa Florio........ Should get my sketchpad out........
You are also aware that Dino Competizione was on display at the l'Idea Ferrari exhibition in Florence Jim? Gr. Martin
I'm 3d modeling 250p5 for the production of a scale car model. Maibe I'll post some images in the forum during the creation. Nice to see the Dino Competizione retuning home, Jim! Seeing her at Villa d'Este last year has been absolutely stunning Alan
I just came across this video on youtube where you can see Dino Competizione (at around 5:10) amongst P4 0856 (I think), F40LM, 512BBLM and many others. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooOq8PYsuS0&feature=related[/ame] Martin
