    Hi all, can any one shed light on Mr Corbani's Dino Saga 060625 re Adjust center plastic ring diameter for 15 degrees total advance. Adjust outer spring pin to just touch at 5 degrees advance. What is the plastic ring?
    Any help with distributor set up would be great.

    Clark, try searching this model specific forum for "Dino 246 ignition advance". I put a few articles with photos that may be useful, along valuable contributions others.

    As far as I can see, the plastic ring just acts as a soft cushion and spacer for the weights as they come to rest near idle speed. The thicker the ring, the less distance the weights have to travel to maximum advance. The picture in the above shows this clearly. Hence the ring thickness can be used to control maximum advance. However, go easy before altering anything until you have established there is a real need for it.
