In the thread about Winshield wiper motor repair ( http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183619 ), JS makes a good point about knowing if the failure is narrowed down to the unit or elsewhere. Here's a quick way to tell if the wiring to the motor is is good.

Find the the connector that goes to the motor.
Note that there are two wire bundles with nearly similar, three wire connectors. One goes to the wiper reversal cam at the side of the wiper motor and the other goes to the motor. Using your hand and a mirror can help find which one of these feeds the motor. Disconnect the one that goes to the motor and expose the connector that comes from the car's wiring.

Side Note: The reversal cam is on the right side of the photo with the black cap with black and green/white wires seen going to it.

There are three wires in this connector; one that is oriented horizontally along the bottom (Ground) and two that are vertical at the top (left is slow wiper speed, right is the fast wiper speed).

Using an ohmmeter, find a good ground on the car and measure between the horizontal bottom line.
Mine shows 3.7 Ohms in the photo

Set the multimeter to Voltage, turn the ignition to ACC and turn the wiper motor steering column stalk switch to the first "ON" position.
Measure the left of the two that are vertical blades at the top connector.
In the photo, mine shows 11.58 volts.

Keep the multimeter on Voltage and the ignition to ACC and turn the wiper motor steering column stalk switch to the second "Fast" position.
Measure the voltage on the right of the two that are vertical blades at the top of the connector.
In the photo, mine shows 11.60 volts.
