    I'm not fond of the bright red floor mats that are in my car. Anyone have a good source for "authentic" replacements -- probably black? The main carpeting of the car is black that reads blue-ish particularly under flash.

    There's no such thing as original that I'm aware of.

    I used www.ggbailey.com.

    You can cut a pattern from their kit, send it to them, and they cut mats that fit exactly right.

    It's a good match for color, and they are not very expensive.

    You could also consider cocoa mats, which I happen to like the look of a lot, and they were all the rage in the early '70s.

    And you're right, they seem to have the Dino pattern for most of their mats. Thanks!

    Mike- there is a guy that I used who is right up off the Merrit. He makes coco mats & did a great job on my dino. He has the patterns and can give you color ideas. He is about 25 mins from your house up here. If you are int pls let me know (you can see my projects on your way!!)

    With any luck, the car should be here this week. If my son's soocer schedule allows, I'll bring it by next week/weekend, and check your works-in-progress out!

    There is no way you can get all of the carpets to match and for short money ($1000 max)any decent upholstery shop can do the complete interior. Just make sure that you do not use nylon carpet as it looks shiny and terribly. The original carpet is a nylon/wool blend but everyone is just using wilton wool or german velour(wool).

    I have 1 set of real original one and 2 sets of replica (it's same material as original but I'm not sure - maybe original, maybe not).
    I'm not thinking to sell it but if you want see it, please pm me (my office is NYC).
