You gentlemen seem to keep up with this stuff better than some of the other groups so I thought I'd post here if you do not mind.

As some of you know I have a nearly complete Dino tool kit that came with my Daytona: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113022

Though I don't have an interest in selling it, the high prices that these things are fetching on e-bay have made me think about the possibility of selling/trading it for a Daytona roll tool kit with partial tools.

(The Dino tool kit came with my Daytona and I do not have a Daytona tool kit roll.)

Does anyone have an idea on the value of what a Daytona roll tool kit with maybe half tools would go for vs. a nearly complete Dino tool kit.

It may not be worth my while to do this but I thought I'd ask.

I will probably eventually call Tom S but I just wanted to get a ballpark guess of what I was looking at.

    Appreciate any comments.

it depend on what tool sare in it. i don't folllow daytona tool pricing that close, but i seem to remember an empty roll selling for about $750 not to long ago. i could be wrong, but the empty rolls aren't that expensive.

For what it's worth, my C4 came with a partial daytona/275gtb/4 toolkit.

I listed the bag, with full set of wrenches , oilfilter wrench, grease gun, carb wrench, and pliers with a 'buy it know' on ebay of 3k and it sold in about 30 minutes. Probably should have asked more. Given that the jack, hammers, screwdrivers, etc... were missing, a full kit would have to be much much more.

LIke you, I hope to finance the purchase of the correct kit for my car with the procedes.

    Good luck

    Thanks guys,

That's what I had in mind. Swapping my nearly complete Dino tool kit for a Daytona roll with wrenches and a couple of other original items and calling it done.

Either that or seeing if I can fully complete the Dino kit (I am missing the small wrench and spark plug wrench) selling that one as comlete and doing what Stacy is doing.

    Appreciate it.

Seems like Tom S. would be the one to work a fair trade...

After he gets back from Miami, and puts the Hula Girl away.......

Yea, I intend to talk to Tom. Have always had good dealings with him.

The tuff part is figuring out what is a fair trade. That's why I really appreciated the responses above.

    Welcome to the Forum Stephen,
    First things first!
How long have you had the car?
    How about some photos
As for the pliers mine are missing too (along with a couple of other bits)and i have to admit that i havent gotten around to searching for this stuff yet due to its level of priority on my very long list. I suspect that finding original pliers would be VERY difficult and costly and thta they would probably only appear on the godawful ebay.I often wonder if other manufactures supplied these poor quality tools with their vehicles.
