I was pretty surprised to see the most recent FML "DINO GT" section. Below is a list of the cars being currently advertised and the asking prices. For those not familiar with the FML (Ferrari Market Letter), the * out front means it a new listing. 03440 is the Fantasy Junction Dino and is now sold. DINO 246 GT *246 GT, S/N 01072 (1970 Euro. model). $450,000. *246 GT, S/N 03112 (1972 USA model). $415,000. 246 GT, S/N 03314 (Feb. 1972 USA model). $425,000. 246 GT, S/N 03440 (1972 Euro. model). $259,500. *246 GT, S/N 05460 (1973 Euro. model). $360,000. 246 GT, S/N 06100 (1973 Euro. model). $329,900.
Yikes, is it time to raise that insurance agreed value yet again, even if actual sales prices of these is a chunk lower? So what did the FJ Dino actually sell for?
Generally, in the US, GT models trail behind the GTS. In Europe, there is a consensus that the GT is more desirable so there isn't as clear of a correlation. Some here will tell you the GT will bring a premium over the GTS in Europe.
Shawn - any way of indicating a website where each of these can be found (other than 3440 of course)? Creating the "comps" for my insurance company. thank you Pietro
