Does anyone have photo's of the brackets mounted on the top of the windshield frame that hold the spindle of the roll down sun visor of the 246 Dino GTS in place?

    Thanks in advance

    They're two small "L" brackets.
Each has two sheet metal screws that attach the bracket foot to the bodywork.
The ends that connect the sunshade rod are different; one bracket has a slotted end to capture the spring rod while the other is a standard round hole.
I was missing one set so was able to fashion another out of angle steel using the original set as a template.

    Hope this helps

BTW, whenever you work on the sunshade use the protective caps that came with them so the suction cups don't become deformed

    Synchro,
    Can you help?
I know it was several years ago you were talking about sun visor/blind brackets.
I am in the process of restoring a GTS which has sun visor/blinds but no brackets.
If I could possibly get a paper template of the bracket I could make them.
    Can you help.
    Regards,
    Jim.

    Synchro,
    Thank you for your reply.
When you get back from being away would it be possible for you to take a paper template of a bracket?
The problem is getting the exact dimensions from your images, (Radius, PCD, Metal thickness etc).
If I could borrow a bracket to copy that would be the best option but finding one is not easy.
    Regards,
    Jim.

Do you have twin mounting holes in the bodywork already and what is the spread on those please?
    Half an inch perhaps?

The last set I sold was for $700 and shortly thereafter I see Randazzo selling a set for $2600.00
odd coincidence since these are NLA, but perhaps check with them and have a big wallet

Thank you for this hint. However, I would never pay 2600 for this item. The Fiat 130 Coupé has a very similar sun visor in the back window. Just a little bit wider. Can be adjusted. I bought a pair of such for EUR 10, missing only the suction cup. I hope that I’ll find something similar.
    What does NLA mean?

Are 246 GTS roll down sunvisors the same width as Daytona Spyder ones ?

No, Dinos are shorter in mounting rod and shield fabric length, plus both have a different border of the edge's unperforated area. I bought them from Hiroshi thinking I could cut down the Daytonas to fit in a Dino but it would not have worked and rather just stuck out sorely, so I sold the set.
Hiroshi had obviously bought them from FAF for his Dino thinking the same. Now the ultimate profiteer, Randazzo, has them for sale at over triple I had sold them for

The Daytona one is on my desk. The full width, without the plunger pushed in is a tad over 42cm.

    So yours likely Dino.

    Synchro/mark,
Thanks for your e-mails on Dino sunvisors. Most helpful.
Still looking for a sunvisor end bracket to copy/buy or maybe a paper template.
    Regards,
    Jim.

Can we please see photos of the four pair of holes that the visor brackets install to ?
Are the centers exactly half an inch spread?
    Thank you

    Synchro,
Unfortunately i cannot measure the hole centres, as the car body is being restored over in Europe, so I do not have access to it at the moment.
What I am really looking for is a paper template/drawing of the bracket itself so I can make 4 off.
    Regards,
    Jim.
