I've been doing some B&W film shooting lately, using that Kodak film that can be developed by color labs. I love the way it shows up the car's lines in this shot...

black and white adds a dramtaic effect to the dino's lines. the photo thread witht he photo that pietro posted shows this even more, especially when compared to the same photo in color.

Dan, Looks good. As it's so quiet here at the moment, for interests sake, Where was this photo taken? I can see what i believe to be sail boat masts in the background.

South Carolina! Yes, those are masts. We're right by the ocean. This was actually taken at the end of a drive that I like to do. Pretty much the end of the road.

There are differences in tonal qualitites between true Black and White photography, and photoshopping a color photo to B&W. Not sure this will show it accurately, but real B&W negatives scan differently than color photos that are tweaked to B&W.

I did some fiddling with tonal values in photoshop on the B&W, and left out the sharpening step for the second dino picture. That looks closer to black and white than the digitally adjusted picture I posted first.

Not to mention the grain of old B&W film vs modern digital photography.
