    Those are typical latches found on English sports racers, like those that secure the bonnets of Lotus Sevens. l have a couple that look like that.

    The seller was probably told (with some basis) one can charge ridiculous prices if one attributes the item to a Dino. Those Dino enthusiasts are crazy.

    That's an old photo, by the way. The cabinet with its "Dino" latches was given away to a friend, who now uses it in her kitchen. Here's a close up (I'm not sure why I took the photo; perhaps because the latches are so iconic). They look very similar, don't they
