looks nice - I would say that the market on a 346 gt coupe is $135k in the US... i have a 74' GTS & a '71 Gt so I tend to watch these #s!!

I think the buy it now is reasonable if the car is a good car with basic/minimal needs. Might be a bit on the high side, but not for long....

The description doesn't clarify that books/tools are included with the car, but a picture of the toolkit is there. That toolkit is worth at least $5k alone......

The fact that the toolkit is still with the car tells me it hasn't been messed with. It also has the micro-switch on the valvle covers which has almost always been removed by now, the proper license plate surround and no Ferrari add ons, and the emergency triangle in the front spare compartment.....

All in all, it looks like a nice Dino to refresh, but not restore. To find a car like this today is no easy feat. It is for the reasons I say it is reasonable. If I was looking to buy a GT Coupe today, this car would seriously get me moving forward.

Whatever was done in 93 as a restoration appears to have been done by someone who knows what they were doing.

This is the third time this car has appeared on ebay. Last time it was listed, about 2 weeks ago, I talked with the dealer and he said he had it sold. The car is actually in northern CA with a different dealer - someone that actually works on the cars.
From what I understand, the car has been sitting for a while. The photos are definitely nice and shows the car to be in good shape.

The car is listed with ethe same eBay seller as the first time it was listed and the second.

I don't have a dog in the hunt about the car, except it APPEARS to be a striaght forward, nice car from the pics...

I have bought several Dino's before and this is a car I would consider if I was looking. That doesn't mean I think it is perfect, but is sure is better than ......

CRIKEY, this Dino washed up REAL GOOD!

I'd be all over this one if I didn't already have a blue GT. Get a PPI done (and have the chassis and undersides checked, as synchro says) - maybe you could get Patrick Ottis to do it, or maybe he could recommend someone to do it - and then BUY IT.

HEY, ALL OF YOU WTB GUYS - THIS IS YOUR BIG OPPORTUNITY!!

(A little more seriously - yes, this Dino was listed before with photos of it, although not as clean, nor as well photographed. From what I have learned about this Dino, it is a contender. If you are really and truly looking for a Dino, this could be the one, and maybe a great one at that).

You're right - same seller though, but this Dino hadn't been cleaned up as well, nor photographed as well, in its prior eBay listings . . . .

Is there a section on FC 206/246 forum where there is a discussion on what to look for during an inspection?
Other than the obvious - what are the weaknesses that are common in Dino's - especially those that have been sitting 5-10+ years with minimal maintenance?
A real mechanical PPI seems to be out of the question on this one.

How does one check the integrity of the water pump and cooling system lines - I'm worried about internal corrosion from sitting.
I know the brakes are not 100% but brakes are 'relatively' easy to repair.
How about the Dino fuel storage and plumbing system - what are the issues with long term storage?
Electrical issues other than corrosion at terminations?

    Lots of questions.

    Thanks - Frank

You basically "assume the worst" and go from there..

We DO have a Purchase Checklist for 308s.....maybe a search would find one for the Dino??
