On my 1970 Dino which I'm in the process of purchasing...there is an original key alarm drilled into the left rear deck above the brake lights. The alarm is not functional however, it appears to be the original equipement that the car was delivered with.
Would you take out the alarm and repair the hole or would you keep the original alarm as it is?
Have you seen other dino's with this factory installed alarm?

Any pics? How sure are you that it was factory and not dealer fitted?

Dino's never came with a factory alarm system. This was something that was installed at a later date.
I would remove it and have the hole repaired.

Thanks, I'm going to attempt to post a photo... however, I think that you're correct... probably a dealer ad-on and the dealer put Ferrari stickers on the alarm. I'll probably yank the entire thing and have the hole repaired when I get the car.
