    As we approach the summer driving season, the prices on these tend to rise.
    I see a similar at USD$6700.00 in eBay #150239896893

    I've also been collecting items like these for a while and have noticed that the prices of these collectibles definitely outpaces the rate of increase for the cars.

    not neccesarliy. the first set i bought was around 03 and i paid $3300 for it. given the changes in the market and added interest, i think the increases are less than the cars.
