Hi Guys, thought this would be the best place to ask, My company (Hollingworth at Ombersley in Worcestershire,UK)is in the final stages of a dino build and we have come to the point where we have found parts no longer available from ferrari uk. I will continue to update the thread with anymore bits that we need as and when, for now if any of you have any of the following lying around for sale please pm me if you can help at all. dashboard clock, dashboard dimmer switch, stainless kick plates (both sides needed) dashboard vent,(two flapped version with dino embossed on one flap) window wiper arm nut x 2 window wiper post washer x 2 Thanks for any help you can give guys Best Regards Steve
Hi Steve http://www.dinoparts.de for the wiper nuts http://reoriginals.com/ for the clock Hope this helps a bit Stephen
Good Day Hollingsworth, original Dino clock is unobtainium, you'll have to get a 308gt4 clock or a standard 308 clock and re-use original face from your Dino clock or have an overlay made for the other clocks. The dashboard dimmer switch- the Dino part number is NLA but if you order p/n 117099 it is virtually identical. If you still have original knob you can swap them. door sill plates aren't stainless, I think they are aluminum and Rutlands has them. They may also have the last 3 items as well.
Door plates are stainless..... any good machine shop can fold them from sheet stainless as they are extremely simple and then glue 25mm square pieces of plywood on the underside to act as spacers as per the originals.
Superformance do the sills, not sure if they are the web site but i do recall seeing some when i called in the other day. Speak to Ron http://www.superformance.co.uk/ Tony
Seek and ye shall find. A Dino clock in working order at: http://cgi.ebay.com/Ferrari-Dino-Daytona-Veglia-Clock-working-original_W0QQitemZ270187145829QQihZ017QQcategoryZ10380QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem I'm sure it will sell for well north of $500 but if you client wants it, tell him to step up and buy it as they don't come around often. Also be advised this is an early mechanical clock which will fail soon enough at which point you'll need to swap in a quartz movement from a 308 as 4redude suggests. I worked with a watch maker to do so and was even able to use the original adjustment arm. Cheers...Keith
I was talking to Gerry at the recent National Ferrari Rally, and found out he has the contacts for the stainless sills you are looking for, identical to the originals, they even have the little dimples for the countersunk screws. He also has new dash instrument panels, if yours are scratched or damaged around the nerled retaining screws. Here's the email for your info [email protected] Cheers MG
thanks for the help guys ill be onto those on monday morning, hmmm the clock might be a tough one as the clock in the car is just missing the black outer surround, so I'll put that one forward to the client, thanks again guys
Steve Try speedy cables in Wales, they overhauled my gauges last year and replaced the broken black bezels on the speedo and oil gauge. May still have them in stock? http://www.speedycables.com/ O1639 732213 PS. They did a bloody good job too Tony
Here is a dimmer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Vintage-Ferrari-Rheostat-Dimmer-Switch-Dino-246-365-512_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ50459QQihZ017QQitemZ270113056220QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
I used the stainless steel sill covers from Jerry from OZ on my car recently and they are very good . I checked them against a couple of other cars on friday and they look just fine to me i can post a pic if you like.
Sorry i meant to say Gerry at Forza automotive from Australia this is his e-mail [email protected] hes a decent bloke who i have now brought several items off and he is good with the postage . He is also getting other Dino parts manufactured and he has various bits in stock so he is worth chatting to. Hope that helps Oh and yes i know the screws are not correct but i think they look better for the period so i dont care. Image Unavailable, Please Login
