Anyone have a Becker Grand Prix in their 246 Dino?
    See my photo attached.
Does the lever (switch?) on the left with the on/off/vol. control have a function? It won't move - either frozen on the shaft or has no function.
I don't have the manual for the radio so I have no idea.
    Thanks!

I have two Grand Prix radios. One early and one later style. The later style says base for the lever and volume for the knob. The early style has no words at all.

Not sure about the Grand Prix, but the Becker Mexico has the same lever and it controls bass/treble.

If it's stuck, I would think you could remove the top knob, then the lever, and lube it with some contact cleaner, comes in a spray can at Radio Shack.

I've used it on older rotary radio knobs in the past and freed them up.

My old Pioneer had the same lever. It was more of a more bass/ less bass adjustment on mine as I recall. Treble level pretty much stayed the same.

Thanks all! I appreciate your input! I wanted to be sure before I got too aggressive with the LH rotary switch.
Now I have another q? What's the RH rotary switch for - it has 3 detent positions but I notice no effect on function of radio unless it's a sensitivity setting for the station seek bar, i.e., near /far tuning?!

I believe the one on the right should be for speaker balance: left-center-right.

Yes, on further testing I found the left rotary switch to be the base adj. and the right rotary switch to be a 3 position for local, near and far reception.
    Thanks for the input, everyone!
