Indeed nicely done, I have not seen this on a Dino before. Would be interesting to know how the window is hinged, its not clear from the web site photos. I do not recognise the clasp but from a classy car, may be jag? Just think of the benefits, ventilation, being able to clean the painted panel and both glasses...... A pity Pininfarina did not work this into the design, perhaps it was a cost issue.

    I like the mod.
I did notice the rubber seal doesn't fit very well however.
There are several areas that are puckered badly. I wonder how well it seals up?
A little more work in this area would be a good idea.
I would like to see how the hinge works as well.

Cool idea! They look like Giulietta hinges...

There are no hinges. The angle of sweep is small enough that simple flexing of the weather strip is sufficient. My Alpine Renault has pop-open vent windows exactly like these, and the leading edge of the glass is simply held by the weather seal (silicone).

Jim, Alfas have three tiny rubber "H" profile hinges at the leading edge of the glass, and it works great until they crack.
I meant the compass, at the rear of the glass, might be from a Giulietta, if memory isn't playing tricks. Regards, Alberto
PS Are you going to Bella Italia?

PS The French don't know about silicone. Do not need to, they are naturals. Regards, Alberto

Alberto - yes, I understood your comment about the aft hinge. Sorry for the confusion. I meant that the leading edge did not need a hinge, as the angle of rotation was rather small.

I've seen this before. Looked to be original. Can't say for sure. This car did have customized features. I've seen these type of flairs in an instert on the second to last parts book. There was a supplement page. The photo's of the flairs were in homologation papers I had.

I saw this car over 6 years ago. The car is in a museum of Dick Marconi's. Here is a phone number you can call or if you are in California stop by and see it in person.
