Mine is an original F&C car with both front and rear edges rolled at the exterior edge.

That's what I did. I rolled the edges on fronts and rears, the only thing I'm not certain of is how the rear inner fender now fits in with the flare. I realize I will be trimming the inner fender to fit, but on my non flare car the edge was rolled over the fiberglass inner fender. I don't think they did it that way on original flare cars. Maybe somebody knows.

    You only have to ask!!!

The rears are made in two parts that slot together and when attatched to car leave an inner lip inside the arch to clip/hold the inner fibreglass arch

Thanks for the pics, that is basically how I did it except I used part of the existing flare as my second piece. I will have to add a small piece to slip the inner fender in. The next big project is the front indicator lights modifying for Euro lights. Jim has sent me several photos with the inside fixture out. Do you have a photo with the lens out and fixture in? Thanks for the help.

    OMGjon,

Thanks for the PM response that the brand of lift you bought was www.americanlifts.com, but I think this is the rotisserie and I may have miscommunicated what I was asking. In your photo on Post #72 there are two lifts shown, one unpacked and one in the background with yellow arms holding the Dino.
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135716770&highlight=test#post135716770

I meant to ask which vertical lift you bought (background with yellow arms) and not the rotisserie. I looked on www.americanlifts.com and didn't see anything resembling the lift in your photo. Did I miss it?

Again, superb shop and I'm wishing to do the same.

The is a Bend-pak 10,000 MX-10acx assymetrical, clearfloor, wide lift with low profile arms, custom painted. $3065.00 including shipping. I bought it through Hydraulic Mgt. 1-800-346-5331. It was kind of a bear to install although after doing one the second would be a lot easier. I got a quote of $400 to install but I hate to pay for things I can do myself. The $400 probably would of been worth it. I had to buy a $300 hilti drill to drill the holes in the concrete. But at least I got a good drill out of it :)

Is that a "Designo di Pinifarina" badge over the clark name?
    (chuckle)

Wow, lifts have lowered in price over the last few years (since I had looked)to the $3k level.

I'm assuming these are reasonable models of quality, right?

Just the picture I was looking for, thanks! I finished the flares today and the next metal work is the Euro lights.

Yeah the lifts are really great quality and work really well. No problems with it at all.

As you can see there is quite a bit of difference between US and EURO lights. Does anyone know which countries used amber lights. Also on the tail lights I've seen amber on the outside position and inside, which is correct?

    omgjon,

Don't take this question the wrong way. But since you are personalizing the car for yourself, what does it matter about the amber lights?

The Euro front lights were clear. I believe the clear lense housings had a dual filament bulb.
The amber ones were used in England and I believe France. I believe the amber lense housings had a single filament bulb. Need a little help here.
The housings were origianly metal but one type was latter reproduced in plastic. I beleive the latter type.
The Euro amber rear signal lense was on the outside. Single filament bulb.
Some owners decided they didn't like the narrow look of the rear running/brake light at night. They put the turn signal on the inside.

Your pictures and captions are really great now. Looks like you are having as much fun with the photography as with the Dino. Keep it up. Thanks.

I am, in fact I'm waiting for my new camera to arrive anyday now. Canon 30D. Hopefully it will arrive by Wednesday as I'm leaving with my son for the Montreal F1 race. We got tickets through Ferrari in the F1 club. I have never been to an F1 race and am really looking forward to it. There is also a challenge race that weekend. Anyone going?

I had an original Euro car years ago, and the lenses were amber. Country of origin is unknown to me.

I ordered Euro directional assemblies from Maranello U.K. (1 year ago). They sent me one left and one right, both amber. The driver side was a single filament socket, while the passenger side was dual filament. I ordered another set this past month (as spares). They no longer had the passenger side, but the driver side was amber and single filament. Go figure.

I had to modify the single filament to make it a dual filament. No big deal.

Earplugs are an absolute must if you go to a formula 1 race. I went to the one at Indy a few years back and almost left by the third lap as the sound was killing me. Wadded up tissue saved the day but I would never go again without earplugs.
