Montreal is a fun place, great people, wonderful sights and spectacular food. We used to run up there all the time when I lived in Vermont.

Somewhere I have a photo of the street sign where they renamed the street Rue Gilles Villenueve (famous deceased Ferrari driver). You could also take a trip up to Quebec City where his museum is, but that might be a bit out of your way.

    Enjoy!

PS - My Euro Dino has a single filament bulb in the orange, rear tail turn lights.

I too will be heading to Montreal with the East coast caravan (departing from Maryland), not driving the Dino but riding shotgun in a TR. As always, it will be a blast! Grandstand 24 at the hairpin.

Yes, very nice photo documentation, but all the photos show only the son working very hard.
Perhaps it is only perception ... chuckle

It's because Corbani has me resizing, sharpening and captioning photos, otherwise we both would be working:)

I raced in the Historic F1 group which had a support race at the Canadian GP in 2004. It was amazing to be a driver and pit opposite the team garages. I remember driving the track on my motorbike on Thursday to learn the track. We passed guys like Fischi and Trulli who were walking the track to get deeper knowledge of the track surface. It is very quick track and even my 1973 Brabham was doing 180 MPH+ on that back straight. Sadly, I was following closely behind my friend Richard who was driving Gilles Ferrari 312T4 and he had a cyclinder leaking down which was covering me and my car in oil. On my fifth lap, I spun in his oil in the chicane and couldn't get back in the race. The race ended about 5 laps later when the leader and a back marker collided - two badly damaged cars and one broken arm was the fallout. I got a bump start after they red flagged the race and drove into the pits covered in oil. I jumped out of my car, walked up to my friend Richard in the pits, handed him a quart of oil and said "I believe this is yours - you left it on my car and all over the track! Fun stuff indeed.

That's a great story. I grew up (until 11) in Montreal and loved the city. Haven't been back since the 76 Olympics. Also, went to Expo 67. Only bad memories were playing hockey against the French Canadians - a lot of racial tension.

    Hey!

My wife and I were at Montreal in 2004 and my wife spotted Keith's (4redno) Brabham before I did during the pit walk-around. Great looking (and fast) car.

It's much faster in the hands of its new owner. He finished 5th in the Monaco Historic GP a few weeks back! Thanks.

P.S. Sorry for hijacking this thread. I'm sure it will return to the restoration after the GP passes.

Just wondering where you purchased those bags? I might be more apt to traveling if I had a "Dino" bag.

Back from Montreal and back to work. I'm waiting for lenses to come for the Euro indicator lights before I start any metal work. The body is about ready for stripping or blasting. Now it's time to start reconditioning the parts. I have no order of attack, just what I feel like doing. Today we started on the exhaust manifolds, cutting of the smog stuff and bead blasting parts. We sent the exhaust manifolds out to be ceramic coated. I think the next project is the suspension.

omgjon, be sure to bell out both the spacers and the header entrance before ceramic coating. Ferrari purposely made an interferance to create turbulance for the air injecters. This is worth some ponies.
