Today I worked on hydraulic lines. Big mistake--keep the old ones!. I took wire I could easily bend to make patterns and get the correct length. Using a flaring tool, I made bubble flares at the ends. I then riveted the tub back in and put heat insulation material around the center tube. I'm going to sandwich more on the bottom when I flip it over.

    Jon,
Did you use soft copper tubing for the hydraulic lines or hard steel (or equiv)? Pressures get awfully high with power assist. Might check what stock lines are made of.

Just buy 2 cars. One to take apart, the other to keep you on track. Even with all the photos there's nothing like looking at the real thing. My (model) is a 73 Gt that I'm going to completely take apart once this one is back together.

What's wrong with the black one that it needs a ground up rebuild? I thought the Miura was next? :(

Just because they're shiny on the outside doesn't mean they're shiny on the inside. Probably the Miura next.

I've got every tool you have with the exception of the powder coater.I'm a pretty good wrench, but couldn't do what you have done in two lifetimes. Carry on.

I'm moving there - that workshop is cleaner than my house!! :D

Been following this thread since the start & thoroughly enjoying watching the process. Great thanks due for taking the time to document it for us.

Wasn't sure I'd like the colour but it looks really nice

    I.

Today I installed the accelerator assembly, rivetedthe air vents back on, fiberglassed the corners of the tub that I had to cut and remove to get the tub out (seems like only yesterday) and I fiberglassed all the seams in the tub like they were before I took the tub out.

Where did you find new accelerator pedal rubber? Last time I checked around, I could not find one.
