not a coupe, but you can see the impact of the color on the dino's lines. not my photo, i found through the search feature Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's the Rosso Dino I mentioned above. Symbolic Motors had one a while back (may still, I don't know). Great color for that car specially for the era.
Right now that is the top of the list. Do you have any shots of your interior Pietro. That car is stunning!!
Not for long, after the 1000 mile bike trip I think you'll see this one here getting together a little quicker, Omgjon is getting so close to the end....
Jon, I'll get some interior shots this weekend. If you go on the Dino Register, there is a Dino on the home page with tan interior. Pietro Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh yeah.... Still the cleanest one I have ever seen... Yes, aren't we all getting together on Saturday?
I think Pietro's car is fantastic, I have just been witnesing Jon take his completly apart and refinishing EVERY component, So I think that the "new" car will be a little cleaner and in a Little better shape.. By the way Pietro, I really like the color on your car, It is pefect...
Plan A - Silver. The best color for a Dino. Plan B - White. Not many around and Dinos really pop in white.
Hello Jon! Are you going to refinish the steering column bell housing? Is it a textured metal surface ar a wrinkle-paint finish? If it is a wrinkle finish, what are you going to use for wrinkle paint? Can a good powder coating shop do a wrinkle-paint finish? Thanks for the very informative thread! Bill
Looks nice Jon. What paint did you use? I'm trying to use VHT Wrinkle Grey on a Zn diecast part with poor results.
A little more work on the engine. The heads were put on and torqued and a few other parts. Some of the stuff in the photos is not really attached yet (cam cover, carbs etc.) just wanted to see what it is going to look like. I finally started on my last tub of parts that need refurbished. It's all the door parts which I've been putting off forever. The rubber around the vent window is outrageous $$$$$, I also need to rechrome some of the parts. Kind of a pain in the rear to take apart. Next time (Dino GT) I'm going to have all this stuff done before I get it painted, so that there is ONLY assembly when it comes back from paint. I'm still waiting for my seat material, side panels and bulkhead cover. I guess those crazy Italians couldn't finish it before their August vacation. I thought I might finish by the end of the year but don't think so now. hi John Recently just bought some of these quarter lights complete from ferrari in the UK they still have some left worked out cheaper than buying some of the bits might pay you to have a look
Good to see someone else besides me has at least some faith in fram HP1 filters. They seem to be much more popular in Europe than the US.
Jon G, Sure is looking great. Have you considered using Viton O-rings rather than the standard black ones? (butyl, neoprene, etc.) I selected them for my Maserati Bora and they can take twice the temp range or more and are available in the standard sizes.
