Yes I like them, I think they are a big improvement but it's all subjective. I originally put them on because I think the flares make the Dino look high. With the adjustables I lowered it a bit.
Omgjon, regarding your post #130, showing lift points, is the balance of a fully assembled car on the lift all right? I shouldn't be concerned with the weight of the engine at the rear? I'm spry to resurrect this. It just shows how useful your thread continues to be. Many thanks, Andres
Where I have the lift points is fine with the engine in. I hope to start working on it again soon. Just been busy with other stuff.
Did you have all the lead removed from the bodywork? I'm at that point where i must decide, thank you
I would. My car had rust under the lead, and the sheetmetal had to be replaced anyway...Your call. Regards, Alberto
The Valve covers look great! http://www.dinorestoration.com/home/restorations/246gts/ What did you do to re-finish them?
omgjon, what an amazing restoration log for all of us to learn from. Thank you so much! I have a request, is there a source for the rear batch board shown in your picture? I've been hunting for months, asking many knowledgable people and many website hits and clicks later, have still come up with nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again!
Where are you located? Perhaps fill out your profile so we can direct you more clearly as there are many suppliers that have this item and shipping costs may be your best choice of selecting where to buy. Just a few seconds of searching yields this, it is called the Rear Batchboard: Ferrari Parts : 20050803 : 20050803 BATCHBOARD (REAR) 246 - T. Rutlands
Isuk and Synchro, Thank you very much! I've been searching in the wrong places and under body panels. Both sources / web links are excellent! Thank you Again!
By far one of the greatest Dino build-threads i have ever read. Congratulations! The work is amazing. Enjoy it in good health. Regards
