I need to replace the female seat belt connector on the passenger side of my Dino. I've tried the usual suspects - GT parts, Superformance - and i've come up empty. I may need the entire seatbelt assembly. Does anyone know of a source for 70's era Ferrari or Fiat parts?

Well I just went through this, I also looked everywhere. I bought a set of vintage seat belts from Re-Originals, but they do not fit a Dino so they went back today.

A major Ferrari parts supplier (I will keep it a secret) told me JC Whitney had the closest thing to correct belts. It killed me to call JC Whitney, but I ordered a set yesterday, I will let you know...

I've seen them twice on ebay in 5 years.

I have not EVER found them with a parts supplier.

That being said, if anyone would have them, a guy like Shaughnessy would. He's got a building full of odds and ends.

Also remember, from a concours point of view, going with a slightly more modern belt is not a deduction, and might even be a safer alternative to someone else's 35 year old belt assembly.

As we all had suspected, your Dino is only worth $245K. ;)

What part is the problem - is your pushbutton with the starburst OK?

    US or Euro car?

They have different belts, I believe.

The female end, with the push button does not hold the male end anymore. A hard tug on the belt pulls it out, which would clearly be useless in a situation where stress was applied to the seatbelt. Happily 'though the driver's side is fine so I still can drive the car "enthusiastically".

the fino belts vary based on year. Unless something is different about alex's dino, the photo posted won't match what he needs. What a 74 should have looks more like an American style black plastic and metal r eceivr

Just to let others know but the seatbelts in your picture are very similar (possibly the same) to MG, Triumph, Rolls Royce and other British cars of the period. Difficult to find but I imagine it is a lot easier to find a decrepit MG with good belts in a junkyard than asking specifically for Dino belts. Hope this may help someone.

Actually, the FCA Concours rules state that safety equipment, like seatbelts, does not have to be original.
