A friend of mine has just bought a Dino and the toolkit & jack are missing. He wants to replace them with original items. Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

    All suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

You might want to add model year and month. Tools and jack varies alot pending these details. Best Peter

This is the friend with the Dino, now online. Would appreciate knowing where to find an original toolkit, jack and of course the yellow Shell cloth. Much appreciated!

Shell cloth is not part of the tool kit, but belongs to the pouch.

The tool bag and kit look OK to me, but I think they are my reproduction screwdrivers. The jack is incomplete ie missing rubber items and for that price I would want it perfect.
Cannot vouch for the emergency triangle and they are lots about, I think the original makers were Bellux
You can tell what type you need by removing the window blanking plug and looking to see what drive you have, if its gear driven then its very likelyyou had the brown lined bag.
I have the repro stuff if you need to make up some odds including the Shell / Ferrari duster.

Interesting! What do you make of the bits that have been added? The 8/10mm spanner looks a bit out of place.

The warning triangles on the later cars were made by Costaplastik Tony. The same triangles were used for the 308 series cars and the Mondial.

John, I take it you mean the outer cases? If so, they came in a variety of colours. I've got green and yellow cases on mine and had a white one as well (photo below of these colours - note that the triangle beside the yellow case has just been incorrectly assembled in the photo). I've also seen them in blue cases. There is no name on the outer case on this type of triangle.

I believe the Bellux triangle came with cars up to the early E series models but Matthias will possibly know the switch over date. My car 04054 had it's original Bellux triangle present when I bought it and it was built in May '72. The Bellux version has the Bellux name in raised lettering on the outer case (photo below). The triangles themselves were different with the Bellux version being a bit more sturdy.

I have been having another look at the toolkit on e-bay. Thanks to Dinoart, we now know that this has been assembled from bits which did not originally belong together. However, if they are all original and correct, that doesn’t seem to me to be a problem.

Does anyone agree / disagree with this? Any views on if / how this would affect value / concours judging?

But, I believe that the emergency window winder is correct for an L, M or early E series car. Conversely, the warning triangle appears to be a Costaplastic version as far as I can tell from the photo, so correct for a late E-series. So the toolkit itself may be incorrect for any car, if the emergency window winder was changed from the early to late version, before the warning triangle was changed from Bellux to Costaplastic.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks for that. Glad to know I haven't quite lost my touch yet! Sorry to hear about the non-payment. Is that the jack shown in the pictures on e-bay? If so, then it isn't really his to sell. Do we know the e-bay seller - i.e. does he post on here?

I have replied (before I saw this). I guess he must have got the jack from elsewhere.

Silverstone Auctions have a jack, toolkit and warning triangle for sale in their Race Retro sale at Stoneleigh on Feb 24/25. There is no lot number on their website yet but there is a reference number of SA-0011441.
