Dino308 Ignition Switch

I hope an F chatter can help me with this one. My 308 ignition key is getting a bit difficult to to turn an needs a bit of jigging about to start. I think if I get the barrel out I may be able to a locksmith and get a new key cut. I have checked past posts and cant find a way of getting the barrel out. Does the whole ignition switch have to cme out? Is this a difficult operation> Is this the best approach to the probelm. I really appreciate any comments and thank you for taking the trouble.
