I met someone recently who just happens to have a Dinoplex that he thinks was from either a 206 or an early 246. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it yet. I believe the one on my 1973 GTS is a 103, but he thinks that the boxes (he said "boxes") that he has say 101. I tried searching the forum, but there were so many Dinoplex references that it was taking too long for me to sort through them. Any idea what the correct model number(s) is (are) for 206 and early 246 Dinos? Any idea how much the boxes might be worth if they work and also if the guts need to be replaced with some sort of MSD?

    Thanks in advance -

A 206 or early 246 Dinoplex is very different from the one in your car. I can't speak to its internal components but the early Dinoplex is much larger and was mounted on a completely different bracket which held the Dinoplex and emergency coil.

    Keith -

I wasn't thinking about getting the Dinoplex for my car, but just to see if it might be worth something to someone else, and also to identify the models that it is used for. I'll see if I can borrow it and then I'll send you a PM or call you in the next few days and make arrangements to show it to you, if that will be OK with you.

The Marelli AEC-101 units are desirable, although the case and connector are probably worth more than the rest.
