I am refurbshing my Dinoplex panel and I have come up with a problem. The car wiring in different to teh wiring manual. Basically the two coils seem to have been swopped over as against the wiring diagram. There are two coils: Coil #A is marked BAE 200A and is currently in position A Coil #B is marked RZR 201A and is currently in position B What is correct please? Simon Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is a different unit (Fiat Dino Dinoplex) but maybe it will offer some guidence. Good luck with it. Andrew http://www.dinoplex.org/aec101diag/aec101diag.html
Simon, the coil clamps position (clamp with resistor in front, clamp without resistor in the back) is correct, but the coils have been swapped. BZR201A (Emergenza, uses resistor) should be on the left side, BAE200A on the right side. Here is the correct wiring for your Dino: http://www.dinoplex.org/PDF/Ferrari%20Dino%20246%20Wiring,%20'72%20Europe,%20three%20terminal%20connector.pdf It's correct that the left resistor wire in your setup is red and not black as in the wiring diagram, that indicates stock from '71/'72 before Marelli switched to a black wire. Best, Adrian
