    Hey model builders! I know there are tons of models of the Fcars but is anyone doing period correct dioramas with models in them? Say do a pic from Spa in the 50's as a three dimensional model.
    Id like to make a few and would be interested if anyone has any info, suggestions or advice.
    Thinking finding the pictures of the track minus the car is gonna be the hardest part but i have found a few.

    If anyone's been to the showroom at Ferrari of Washington, you've seen some great ones by VA artist Tom Neel. Tom has a tremendous eye for detail, as well as a fine artist's touch. I could build something like that, but mine would look like it was built by a modeler, vice an artist. Tom's work is just great. Worth a checkout if you're in the area.

    Full disclosure - I may be a bit biased as I also own the original of Tom's painting of Schumacher in the F1-2000 at Indy. GREAT painting, which I'm thrilled to have hanging in my home. FWIW.
