When I engage my RIGHT side directionals I hear a blinking sound that's two or three times more rapid than usual, the green dash indicator does not light up and neither front nor rear directional light blinks at all. I thought at first that this might be a broken bulb, but I can't imagine that they've both broken simultaneously. Any idea where I should start troubleshooting? (I have not checked bulbs yet.) Thanks!

Normally the rapid flashing does mean a blown bulb

I would start with checking the bulbs.

It seems strange that none of the lights on the right hand side are illuminating. The lights are in a parallel circuit, so one blown bulb should not affect the others. The bulbs also have different earths.

Do the right hand lamps illuminate when you use the hazard switch?

Got it! Turned out to be a loose connection somewhere or near the steering column. After checking all the bulbs, testing and even replacing the blinking relay, I moved the steering column and suddenly things were working. I'd moved it the day before so that must be when the connection came loose. Unfortunately I have no idea where this mystery bad connection is, but I know where to start looking the next time the directionals give me trouble. I'm guessing it's either some connector up there, or it could be the switch mechanism at the bottom of the directional stalk. Only time will tell.

Good find! Now that I recall, the circuit from the indicator stalk has caused this kind of problem for other F355 owners.
