Yeah, JUST for that option. What about the History channel, Discovery, TLC, FUEL, ESPN, etc. I would still have to pay for a service to receive those channels, no? I need a solution that covers it all. I also need to have a DSL connection so it makes life easier when it's all bundled and billed together.

Frankly I don't mind the SPEED coverage of F1 and really like having an all in one solution where I can set it and forget it. I think I need to come around to the new technology but I just get lazy.

While VPN sounds good I know I'm not getting the full story.
Surely there's a marketing site which spells this out better than the StrongVPN page.

I would hate to loose TIVO...that's my ad killer.

Having lived with 3 channels most of my life (tv since 1946), I hate current packages.
Say $50/mo for my choice of 50 channels (maybe 30). No more shopping channels etc.

    There's always HULU.com

OK...I have no dog in this hunt...this is all I know. Me...personally...will gladly pay 55 bucks a year to get the BBC feed. I've seen both...you get so much more info by Sunday nite from BBC than Speed. My .02 Best of luck.

My Uverse phone, internet, and TV with 4 STBs and the DVR for a total of 5 TVs on at the same time runs $184/month after the introductory offer expired. STBs are a $7/month rental charge. We've had it for three years now and it's very handy as far as recording shows go.

As far as I know there is no way to time slot a F1 race on a VPN, that's the downside for me.

I did the Filmon thing for a couple of years but this year they lost BBC.

What really pisses me off is the CEO of DirecTv telling us that News Corp wants to increase our monthly charge. No, they don't. They want to increase their charge to DirecTv. It's entirely up to DTV whether or not to pass the charges on to their subscribers. He says it's an increase of $1,000,000, but doesn't say if that's per month, per year, or what. So, if they have 19 million subscribers, at $1 million per month, that's an increase of $0.0526/month/subscriber. What's the big deal? To me it sounds like a pissing contest between the current and former owners of DTV.

Is direct tv still carrying top gear from England on BBC? Can't seem to find it.
