I saw a tantalizing message on Google saying

Advertise at CC .... Cobra Make, Engine: Original 427 S/C #CSX3047 ... I remember one that turned up in Autoweek around 1971 or 2 for $25K.

but when I went to the page this posting was not there. Does anybody else remember it? It is the now famous Anthony Boosalis unrestored car shown recently in Calif. Back then I read somewhere that Carter Gette, son of a Ford dealer, was sellilng it for some couple that had bought it. I'd like to know that price.
Or I'd like to hear any good stories on Carter Gette, who I also read would even rent the car out for folks to drive on a local racetrack (imagine doing that today?).

It seems like a high price to me because in '71-71 I visited Jim Levitt of the Levitt family (Levittown) who had a minit 427 Cobra for sale for only $10,000.
