    Hey all,

Does anyone know how to disable the double horn when you close your door with the engine started? It's extremely annoying to have it happen each and every time.

    TIA.

Really? Damn. Mine is a later F8. Each time I forget that I have the key in my pocket and I close the door, the horn sounds twice telling me the darn engine is still on. Like for real, it's a ferrari, you'd think i'd be able to hear that it's still running.

GD annoying is what it is. I'm surprised no one else has this issue.

It’s normal and no way to defeat. It’s not warning you that the car is running but warning you that the key is not present.

For example, you give your car to valet but forget to give them the key. Same as most other cars that alert you “key is not present”.

Ah yes…. And I’ve never experienced it because I’ve never taken the key out of the little spot where it goes. I always leave the key in it no matter where it’s parked. I think it’s some twisted psychological thing that I have to test whether anyone has the balls to actually steal a Ferrari lol - we all know I’m retarded though

Sounds like they are still just trying to catch up with the awesomeness of Ford........ I HATE this on my f150, but luckily you can turn it off with a third party program.

I was really hoping for some coding solution to this issue. It's very embarrassing each time it happens and it happens all the time.

Out of curiosity, when you say it happens all of the time, why are you getting out of the car while it’s running with your key in your pocket “all of the time”?

I’ve done it maybe twice and it’s pretty easily fixed. If I’m getting out of the car while it’s running, I just leave the key in the vehicle. Simple fix and no matter what car I’m driving it’s an easily solution.

Ferrari was smart enough to design a little spot to place the key in the car. Can’t say that about any of my other cars.

The purpose of keyless entry is that you never have to fumble with the key at all. If I have to take it out each time I get in the car, it defeats the purpose don't you think?

It happens to me all the time because of many varied reasons. One of them being I have to shuffle cars around when I bring the horse out and etc. small garage spaces are not fun.

Um, my F8 doesn’t have keyless entry. None of them do. Keyless start, yes. Just leave key where it goes inside the vehicle and all is good and you also won’t scratch it up by keeping it in your pocket.

What Todd said above. For the F8 you have to unlock the door with the key fob and there is keyless start. So your key is in your hand to unlock the car and just put it in the key holder when you get in the car. When you are done and turn off the car, take the key out of the holder and lock it. This is really a first world problem! :p

Lol. Yes, you guys are right. I do have to press the unlock button. I don't have such a problem with my bulls though. Just grates me.

Not sure which car but one of mine will start beeping like crazy when the “key not detected” and doesn’t shut up until it senses the key again. I do think the Ferrari is the only one that honks at you but the others have annoying warnings as well.
