I see a few members have dealt with them in the past, and they are known for exorbitant shipping but also having unobtanium parts. I want to share a negative experience I've had with them recently.

I asked for the availability and price for a pair of 456 fuel pump supports, and was told 75 euros plus 49 euros shipping for both, and that they would ship quickly.

I gave them my CC details, and recieved the parts a week later. However, they charged my card for 208 euros, and put a higher price on the customs form, so I had to pay another $50 in tax.

I've been in contact with Sergio for nearly three weeks now trying to get them to refund the difference, and they refuse to admit any wrongdoing and are asking me to send them back at my expense. Of course, they never issued an invoice or receipt, so going through the card issuer for a chargeback will be difficult.

I'm glad I am facing this problem with such a small order. I'd be quite pissed if it were a major part.

I would still contest the charge with the cc company.

Definitely. I'd rather settle it amicably, but that will be the last resort.

Screw amicably. They lost any rights to amicable discussions when they didn't honor the price they agreed to. Don't wait - file the dispute with the card company immediately. Don't waste any more time on them, you're just playing into their hands.

They haven't really given one. They keep insisting that the price was 75 each all along (which still doesn't add up to 208 anyways), and are saying I'm causing problems--ignoring the fact that the email thread they quote with each reply spells out my case quite clearly.

That’s exactly how I read your first post. (150 plus 49 shipping). So I was thinking all this over 9 euro.....

    Hope it works out.

That's how I read it as well, seems like a short leap in logic to connect the dots, plus any small handling/vat fees etc.

I'd be interested to see the communication verbatim between the seller and thread starter in order to understand the miscommunication/understanding.

Fair enough. The email thread reads verbatim:

Feb 26, from me: "Thank you, so it is 124 euro total for two gaskets including shipping?"

Feb 27, their reply: "yes send you shipping address [sic]"

Either way, they've now asked for my banking info, so I hope I will be receiving funds shortly. I'll be disputing the charge on Friday otherwise.

In transactions where language barriers can present a hurdle on both sides, that seems pretty darn definitive. Good luck in resolving

    Sounds like a miscommunication.
