I have been watching shows on Discovery HD for about a year now. I stumbled on it and saw what they where televising and was wondering what else they had.

What I Tivo to watch now -

Chasing Classic Cars - Wayne is a cool guy. Met him at the Motorsports Reuinion this year.
American Icon: The Hot Rod - Great historical stuff
Cafe Racer - Some great bikes on this show

    I used to watch -
The World's Most Expensive Rides - I happened to meet "Fireball" Tim Lawrence from this show. Funny Guy!
Street Customs - just to see the cars. The guys drove me nuts

I need to see if there is anything else I may want to watch.

HD Theater is what Speed Channel should be.

Their best stuff is Chasing Classic Cars, Cafe Racer, World Rally, and Twist the Throttle.

They have also had programs following vintage racers (not sure what the name of the show was), Goodwood Revival, and their coverage of the Mille Miglia was terrific.

I could do without all the Mecum Auto Auction junk though..

I always say the same thing about SPEED.

I forgot about the Mille Miglia show. That was great. What about the Carrera Panamericana show. Another great one. They also had one on the Historics at Le Mans.

"HD Theater" is a bit unpredictable, but has good stuff. You just have to look ahead a bit.

They were running past episodes of Nation's Cup/ROC, so I wonder if they're going to be carrying the next run.

I was letting the DVR find their WRC coverage -- about what speedvision used to be. (Three half hour daily summaries and an hour overall recap). They were running it on weeknights, but they pretty much moved it all to weekends, as it's two weeks delayed, anyway.

I missed Dakar, last year (didn't get the channel until Feb, when I switched from DTV to Dish), but I hope to catch it this year.

I've been looking in on the odd "Wheeler Dealers", depending on what car they're hacking up. (A bit too much "quick and dirty"/bondo for my resto tastes, but to each his own. They also seem to forget to factor in Ed's labor. ;))

They also have a few interesting other programs, from time to time, such as the special on the original Auto Union GP car that was found, a while back.

Where they surpass the old Speedvision channel is that they actually seem to be able to schedule relevant ads -- such as Tire Rack or Mothers ads during the WRC coverage, instead of "vortex gas saver" gimmicks, like SV used to run during F1. ;)

In fact, the only "bad" thing about them is that the HD programming uses more disk space on the DVR. :p

I almost forgot. Their coverage of the Isle of Man TT is awesome as well.
