I'm looking for a display case for a growing collection of 1/18 scale models. I've seen lots of cases on the internet but I'm still unsure of what to get. This really for my son's room. I want something that will go with maple furniture. It doesn't have to be super fancy but I don't want a piece of junk either. Its for a small room so it can't be too big.

    Suggestions/photos would be helpful.

Your best bet is Ikea. Cheap, simple, and really good for models. Only cost about $59.

I have a case that I bought from IKEA in Palo Alto. It's unfinished wood with glass shelves & windows. I think all told, it can hold 15 models - 3 per shelf side-by-side, 5 shelves (well, 4 shelves and the bottom). It's fairly small, but if you added several in a row, it wouldn't look too bad. Best of luck.
