DIY Air Filter Change

Ok, so this is probably way too pedantic for many, but I figured since the oil and transmission fluid change threads were helpful to me, I’d throw in the air filter change I just did.

There may be a better way, but here is what I did:
1) remove 2 bolts holding canister to car

2) loosen hose clamp screw and slide corrugated tube off engine intake port

3) remove nut on air filter housing end and remove metal cap. (Note- this was one of the few parts I’ve seen that says “Ferrari” on it!) Image Unavailable, Please Login

4) remove left rear wheel and splash guard and rotate air filter housing past spring so that there is good access to pull out old filter and put in new one. Image Unavailable, Please Login

5) insert new filter and reverse steps.
