    Yikes! I haven't had any trouble but haven't used the "color" type you did. Can't a mild buffing compound rub the white off?

    I tried the scrubbing bubbles. I was a little hesitant specially from @TheRealFlyingBear issues. First off, it was t easy finding the scrubbing bubbles! Pretty much everywhere in la is sold out but I managed to get a can. I think I might have used about a quarter and definitely not a full can as mentioned here. I did get some white residue on some engine components like the air filter and some of the metal shields next to the manifolds and in the side engine covers like @TheRealFlyingBear . Overall it did a good job and was quite impressed As it did remove a lot of grime and dirt but think it needs to be used carefully. Don't think will use again and will take a more traditional approach next time.

    I have been using Iospropyl alcohol in a spray bottle, if does hurt your skin cant be to bad your engine bay. I have had allot military people that are aircraft mechanics for all of the aircraft it is there go to choice . It works fantasist for me I use it on rims tires every thing give it a try let me know what you think .
